Located in the outskirts of a small inland town, the Country House was a new farmhouse placed adjacent to a large yet placid pond.
The design was based on a grid system of 3.2 x 3.2m and was comprised of a number of cubic volumes that formed an intricate plan. Pyramidal roof shapes forming the rooms, also providing covered outdoor areas. Various skylights bring natural light into various spaces throughout the day. The construction utilised concrete slab on ground for earth coupling, where timber framed walls and pyramidal shaped metal deck roof completed the structure.
